Details:
The event will start promptly at 7am with a group photo then a roll out on a pathway through town.
This is a self-supported event riders need to provide their own sports drinks, energy food, and water for the entire day.
Each loop begins and ends at Community Park offering riders the opportunity to refuel and prepare for the next loop. The only sag stop will be on the F'n Fifty loop at approximately the half-way point, we will provide water and snacks.
Please bring your favorite dish to pass so that all of the riders can enjoy a buffet of food before, between, and after riding loops. Be creative and thoughtful - we can only have so many bags of chips and boxes of cookies. Bring enough to feed approximately 6 people, we will provide the utensils, plates, and napkins.
Why are we charging $25 this year? While we wanted to keep this a free, simple, fun ride we needed help covering the cost of insurance and course marking supplies. $25 is a small price for a full fun day of mountain biking.
Be Prepared:
- Bring a well-tuned mountain bike: suspension optional, single speeds are preposterous. Helmets are required.
- Bring your own energy food, sports drinks and water. Be sure that you or your bike can carry what you need for each loop.
- Spare tubes, a master link, a derailleur hanger, a multi-tool, and a pump are required.
- The routes are well marked but maps will be available the day of the event.
"The Horrible 100 (aka The Humbler) was the best organized, best marked, coolest route I have ridden in my 25 years riding and racing mountain bikes."CK, rider 2007 Horrible 100
Last years Horrible 100 riders starting in the rain and fog.
"These guys have such a pure passion for bikes, the outdoors, and having a good time. It's all about the fun."anonymous rider, Rambler 2008
