We sent the Rambler Recon group out to ride the course Wednesday night, they had to ride in the rain and snow but mother nature has better plans for Sunday. Thanks to Jason Hilimire of the Fisher 29er Crew for shooting the course with his helmet cam, check out his video here. We can't wait to see you on Sunday for the 2nd annual Ramble Around Prattsburgh!
April 21, 2009 - Just 2 days left to grab yourself an event t-shirt just for registering by Wednesday night! Preregistration ends Friday at 11:59pm.
The course is looking fantastic; dry, hard-pact and fast! The weather seems to be cooperating and we are looking forward to another beautiful Spring day on our bicycles rambling around Prattsburgh!
Size matters....so we've decided to even out the playing field. There will be unique trophies for the top 5 male & female 26" wheel riders and the top 5 male & female 29"/700c wheel riders!(30 mile course only!)
We're putting Prattsburgh on the map as one of the best places to have a back roads event. Join us for the 2nd annual Ramble Around Prattsburgh on Sunday, April 26, 2009. This enduro-style race will showcase more single track than last year and a mix of the finest dirt roads the Finger Lakes has to offer. Bring the whole family for a full day of fun.
Highlights Include:
- 8 mile junior to beginner loop
- 15 mile beginner to intermediate loop
- 30 mile intermediate to advanced loop
- New- Open Tandem class
- Kids races in the park
- Medals for top finishers in each event
- Huge prize raffle
- Post race meal by The Robbin’s Nest
Requirements:
- Cyclocross or mountain bikes only (sorry, no aerobars)
- Waiver form to be signed on race day
- Under 18 must have permission from parent/guardian
Cost to race is $35 for adults, $10 for juniors (14-18), and $5 for kids (kids race is day of registration only)
Meal tickets for The Robbin’s Nest are an additional $7
Register before Wednesday, April 22 and recieve a FREE event T-shirt!
