30 mile Detailed Course Description Note: The course is subject to change due to weather and course conditions. What is not included below are the short sections of easy single/double track that will be interspersed throughout the course as these will be weather dependent. Keep checking back as the event nears for updated course information.

Start: There will be a neutral start from the Village Square in downtown Prattsburgh. with a pace car leading a short warm up spin through town. Once the group turns onto Cook School Rd the race begins! Cook School Rd starts out paved but soon turns to dirt as it gently climbs 2.5 miles through a wooded valley. After gaining 600 ft of vertical, the road tops out and the course turns Left onto Matoon Rd.

Mile 5: Matoon is an oil and stone packed surface that descends for 1 mile until it crosses County Route 7. Please follow the directions of the course marshal stationed at this intersection. If they tell you to stop then do so! Cars crossing the race course on CTR 7 have the right of way. ½ mile after the CTR 7 intersection turn Right onto Butts Rd.

Mile 6.6: Butts Rd soon turns to dirt and descends into the valley before making a sharp right turn into a short, but very steep climb (.3 mile with 130 ft of vert). At the top, take a Left onto Walker Rd.

Mile 7.4: Walker Rd is a beautiful, narrow dirt road lined with giant Sugar Maples, that slowly descends and twists for 4.5 miles. Use caution because there are several sharp corners and steep sections along the way. At mile 8.6, Walker Rd turns into a seasonal road and plunges into West Creek Valley.

Mile 10.4: Walker Rd turns into West Creek Rd and the surface changes to a narrow, paved lane descending through beautiful farmlands. But what goes down, must go up!

Mile 12.3: Turn Left onto Canen Hill Rd which is a seasonal dirt lane with a steady climb that ends with a steep kicker (.6 miles with 300 ft. of vert). Once you top out take a Left at the 'T' onto Zimmer Rd.

Mile 13: Zimmer Rd is the start of your ride back in time as most of the homesteads along the next few miles are Amish. Climbing gently for 1 mile Zimmer 'T's' into Ridge Rd. where the course turns Left.

Mile 14: Ridge Rd starts as a wide dirt road rolling along through Amish Country but at mile 15.5 it crosses Bull Hill Rd and turns seasonal. This narrow, bumpy, and usually muddy lane is one of the most scenic roads in all of the Finger Lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking valley views as you ride high upon the ridge line overlooking the endless countryside below. At mile 16.5, Ridge Rd gets steep and you begin a winding descent towards Rt. 53.

Mile 17.7: Please use caution and obey the Course Marshal's instructions as you cross onto Rt. 53 for a short paved traverse to a Right turn onto the closed road, Dineharts Crossing.

Mile 18: Ride down Dineharts, which is not much more than a tractor path , over an old bridge, and merge Right onto a dirt road called Murlat (mile 18.5).

Mile 19.2: Take a Left onto the paved County Route 13 and ride it for ½ mile before taking another Left onto Hungry Hollow Rd.

Mile 19.7: Hungry Hollow Rd is an incredible dirt lane that twists and turns up a tight wooded valley. Conserve your energy up the initial 2 miles of the gentle climb because the road makes a hard right and the real challenge begins! The road turns seasonal and gets steep for ½ mile before a fast descent into a series of rollers.

Mile 22.6: Take a hard Left onto Colegrove Rd a seasonal road which climbs for a mile through a vast track of State Forest before pointing downhill for a rocket fast descent into the valley below.

Mile 24.7: Left onto Bean Station road where you return to "civilization" and a paved road. From here on out there will be no major climbs as you work your way north towards the Finish line, just put your head down and pedal!

Mile 25.5: Right onto Muck Rd.

Mile 26.3: Left onto Country Route 77

Mile 27.5: Turn Left onto Prattsburgh-Pultney Rd.

Mile 30: Finish!
